Well, it has been an insane 1.5 years. There has been lots of blood, shirts lost to sweat, and tears that were blinding; but we never gave up. Someone out there has been watching very closely and all of a sudden we are nominated for “New Business of The Year”. Whoever you are, thank you for acknowledging our baby steps in joining this amazing community and being a part of our trans-formative Thunder Bay vibe.
We thank most of all, PARO – Enterprising Women. Without you the basis of this new business would not have come to fruition as fast as it did – always there helping with our business plan whenever we needed, pushing us in the right direction for help, making us aware of funding options, and boosting our motivation and morale when we thought we had used it all up.
Thank you to all the nominees and all of the award recipients. You are truly amazing human beings and the most inspiring. It means the world to be next to you and know that other people before us have battled the gauntlet and succeeded, and so many will with us, and after us.
Our team here at The Haven Hostel is comprised of some truly amazing human beings and without them we would be lost and this award would not have happened! You guys are truly incredible human beings and we are proud to work along side you everyday. Killen it team: Peggy Lim, Hillary McDowell, Paul Pepe, Rojan Roy, and Gordon <3 . And especially thanks to some other honourable mentions who were here from the beginning, Dayle and Jalene!
