ADAPTING DURING COVID-19 (Coronavirus)
In March, once the world tourism forecast was starting to unravel due to COVID-19, we knew we had to Pivot!
We decided to remain a student residence for 12 of the 16 international students that spent their school year with us from September to April.
*An endeavour we plan on doing again this September to April 2020/2021
The students had already forged a new family, and having a few lose their jobs in a time where leaving seemed uncomfortable, we decided to adapt together until we could all wrap our heads around what is going on out there!
During this time, we raised $3, 105 dollars within our community of Thunder Bay and region to simply help these students with their living expenses. We are happy we could add a little bit of relief to our in-house guests while figuring out our next tactic. Now, it is time.
